Stafford Bennett, a proud Marine and devoted family man, was born on December 22, 1955, in Fort Worth, Texas, to the late Robert Price and Velma Lockett Price. He was raised in the close-knit Lake Como community, where he cultivated the values of strength, service, and faith that would define his life.
At an early age, Stafford accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior and was baptized at Stranger Rest Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. R. W. West. His faith remained a guiding light throughout his life, shaping his character and commitment to others.
Stafford answered the call to serve his country by joining the United States Marine Corps, where he proudly and honorably served. He deeply loved the military and found purpose and pride in the values of duty, loyalty, and brotherhood it instilled.
A man of great warmth and strength, Stafford cherished his family above all. His love for life was evident in the way he embraced those around him, offering guidance, laughter, and unwavering support. His Christian faith, military honor, and love for family left an enduring mark on all who knew him.
On May 27, 2025, Stafford surrendered to the call of his Master and took his eternal rest, answering the final command from the Commander-in-Chief of life.
Left to cherish his memory are his beloved daughter, Simyouna Jacobs (Adam) ; his devoted sisters, Jean Harper-Blackwell (Francis), Robin Bennett, and Thelma Bennett; his loving brother, Robert Bennett; four grandchildren and three great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, fellow veterans, and friends who will forever hold him in their hearts.
Stafford’s legacy of faith, family, and service will continue to inspire all who had the privilege to know him.
