Obituary

Phillip Leonard Mayberry was born October 31, 1972 in Fort Worth, Texas at John Peter Smith Hospital, to a proud mother, Zenitha Mayberry. At the precious age of 5 days old, Phillip's mother entrusted him to the care of her brother, Mr. Herman Mayberry & his wife, Ida Mae. As a young man, full of life, little Phillip was introduced to God and continued believing in Him throughout his life. He was educated by the Fort Worth Independent School district, by way of P. L. Dunbar Middle & graduating from the Polytechnic High School.

After graduating from high school in 1991, Philip was inducted into the United States Army. During his term he was promoted in rank from Private to Private Second Class before being medically discharged. Upon the Medical Discharge from the United States Army, Phillip returned home to become a father and enjoy family time & his beloved Dallas Cowboys. It was March 4, 2016 that Phillip took the hand of his love and changed her name from, Sharicka K. Watson to Sharicka K. Mayberry, where he was blessed with three additional children. As a full size family man, Phillip focused on his passions, family, enjoyments, & hobbies. He loved relaxing, watching the Dallas Cowboys, movies & listening to his favorite song "Refrigerator Door" by Luke Combs. Phillip had a great love for computers, to the point that he got certified in multiple programs in Artificial Intelligence. He even created A.I. based music videos and an album so that he could be entered in the A.I. Awards.

On March 1, 2026, Phillip transitioned from labor to reward. He leaves to cherish his memory: his wife, Sharicka; 4 children, Awyanna Mayberry, Cartier Foley-Watson, James Wingham & Malakai Mayberry; his mother, Zenitha Rosales (Refugio); mother-in-law, Althea Watson; 2 sisters, Ellishia Rosales & Jackie Watson; 3 brothers, Rafael Rosales, Kelvin Smart & Rayfus Spelmon Jr.; 3 aunts, Marjorie Mayberry, Tracy Mayberry & Sharon Mayberry; 3 uncles, James Mayberry, Robert Mayberry, & Thompson Mayberry; 1 nephew, Jonathan Spelmon; 1 cousin, LaDonna K. Mayberry; his beloved friend & great-grandmother-in-law, Claudine "Mama" Watson; and the host of other relatives and friends.
