Maurice Dancer, age 70, answered the Master’s call and was honorably discharged from his earthly duties on May 8, 2009. Born on January 22, 1955, Maurice lived a life of service, love, and faith. A proud veteran of the United States Army, he served his country with courage and distinction, upholding the values of honor, duty, and commitment.
Beyond his military service, Maurice was a devoted family man whose warm spirit and generous heart were felt by all who knew him. His gift for cooking brought family and friends together, and his meals were always served with a side of laughter and love.
Maurice also served faithfully at Campus Drive, where he dedicated many years as a Sunday School teacher and contributed in countless other ministries. His faith was steadfast, and his presence was a source of strength and inspiration within the church community.
Though he has been called home to eternal rest, the legacy of Maurice Dancer will live on in the lives he touched through service, family, and faith. He has fought the good fight, finished the race, and kept the faith.
Rest in peace, soldier. Your mission is complete.
