Lorethea Lashawn Oakes

Lorethea LaShawn Oakes, lovingly known as Baba, passed away surrounded by family and love. She was a devoted mother,
grandmother, daughter, and sister whose
life was deeply rooted in family, connection
and care.
She was preceded in death by her father, Richard, and her brothers, Lamont and "lil"
Richard.
She is lovingly remembered by her mother, Ruth; her sister, Charlotte; her children, Damont, Alvin, and Rose; and her cherished grandchildren, Violet, Noah, Veronica, Keigion, and Noelle. She is also remembered by her step-grandmother, Thelma Garnerway; her aunts and uncles, Quena Simon with her husband Michael, Quentin Garnerway with his wife Keturah, Kirk Garnerway, Olivia Garnerway, Andre "Sean" Perkins, and Willie "Faye"
