Today we gather not only to mourn the loss of LaTricia Lynn Warren, but also to celebrate a life full of love, laughter, faith, and resilience. Born on October 30, 1965, in Fort Worth, Texas, to John Warren and Lola B. Mayberry Gibson, LaTricia brought with her a light that never dimmed, even in the most difficult of times.
LaTricia was the embodiment of sweetness and strength. With her infectious smile and kind spirit, she made everyone feel seen, heard, and loved. Whether it was a quick laugh, a long conversation, or a warm embrace, she had a way of leaving you better than she found you.
A proud graduate of Paschal High School’s class of 1984, and went on to pursue a career as a legal clerk, where she was respected for her dedication and attention to detail. She accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at First Samaria Baptist Church, where she began a lifelong journey of walking with the Lord.
LaTricia’s heart belonged most to her family, especially her son, Jermetrick Warren—her pride and joy. Their bond was deep, unbreakable, and filled with love. As a mother, she was nurturing, encouraging, and endlessly proud. She also shared a special closeness with her Aunt Alice Bello, a relationship filled with warmth and unwavering support.
She was preceded in death by those who loved her deeply—her beloved mother Lola B. Gibson, her biological father John Warren, her devoted stepfather Jones Gibson, and the love of her life, Larry Washington. Though their absence brings sorrow, we take comfort in knowing LaTricia is now reunited with them in eternal peace.
She leaves behind her treasured son, Jermetrick; her brothers Marvin Washington and Anthony Warren; her beloved Aunt Alice Bello; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will carry her memory forward with love.
To know LaTricia was to know compassion. To be loved by her was to be truly blessed. Though we grieve today, we also give thanks—for her life, for her love, and for the time we shared.
May we honor her by living with the same kindness, joy, and faith that she gave so freely. Rest well, LaTricia. Your light will continue to shine in each of us. Our beautiful sunflower will be missed.
