Life story
Juanita Olivas was born on May 25, 1962, in Big Spring, Texas, to the proud parents of Manuel Olivas and Myrtle Patton. From the very beginning, Juanita carried a warm spirit, a strong work ethic, and a heart full of love for her family.
She received her formal education at Nolan Catholic School, where she built the foundation for the compassionate and determined woman she would become. Juanita believed in hard work and dedication. She had a servant’s heart and found joy in caring for others. She worked faithfully as a caregiver with Newstart, providing comfort and support to those in need. She also devoted over 20 years of service to Fort Worth ISD Transportation, where her reliability, kindness, and commitment left a lasting impression on coworkers and the many lives she touched. She would help run the family business Olivas homecare along with her mother Myrtle Ruth Olivas
Juanita loved spending time with her family. Whether it was gathering for holidays, sharing meals, or simply enjoying everyday moments together, her family was her greatest treasure. Her laughter, wisdom, and unconditional love will forever echo in the hearts of those who knew her.
On February 10, 2026, Juanita departed this life for a brand-new life in Glory, surrounded by her loving family. Though our hearts are heavy, we rejoice in knowing she now rests in eternal peace.
Left in the caring hands of God and to cherish her precious memories are her children: David Olivas, Mauresa Perez, and Anita Rochelle Wilson; her sisters, Caroline Salazar and Katherine Salazar; her brother, Wilburn Lawson; her beloved grandchildren, Tiffany Olivas, Lyric Jackson, Laila Weaver, LaNeisia Wilson, and Kathleen Ford; Godson Mondale Johnson and along with a host of other relatives and dear friends.
Juanita’s legacy of love, strength, and dedication will continue to live on through the many lives she touched. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
