Edgar Earl Curvey was born on November 22, 1953, in Palestine, Texas, to the loving parents Marlene Curvey and Vera Mathis Curvey. As a young child, his family relocated to Houston, Texas, where he attended Trinity Elementary School.
In 1968, the Curvey family moved to Fort Worth, Texas. Edgar later became a proud graduate of Paul Laurence Dunbar High School, Class of 1978.
Edgar accepted Christ at an early age under the leadership of Pastor V.M. McKissic, and his faith remained a cornerstone of his life.
He was united in marriage to his beloved wife, Peggy Curvey. To this union, two children were born: a daughter, Tamra Curvey, and a son, Marshall Curvey. Edgar cherished his family dearly and found joy in their presence. He was well known for his love of stylish hats and the joy he brought to those around him.
Edgar was welcomed into eternal rest by his father and his brothers: Churl, Michael, Kelvin, and John John.
He leaves to cherish his memory: his spouse Faye Wheeler; his loving daughter Tamara Marshall ; his devoted mother, Vera Scipio; his brother, Herman Scipio; one cherished grandson; and a host of other dear relatives and friends who will miss him deeply.
His life was a testament of love, faith, and family—and he will forever live in our hearts.
