On the day of January 8, 1954, a beautiful baby boy was born to James and Ina Hill in Fort Worth, Texas.

 

James attended Polytechnic High School and graduated in the Class of 1973. He played football and ran track. James was voted the most popular person in the class.

 

James accepted Christ at an early age at the Community Baptist Church under Pastor Homer Williams and his mother was the church musician.

 

James served in the United States Army and spent time in Germany. After serv- ing his time in the military he came home with an honorable discharge. He started working at Lockheed Martin. He worked there for over 30 years and gain many friends until he retired in 2008.

 

James as a child met a young lady by the name of Deborah Kibby. They were fond of each other throughout their childhood, but James left for the service and they grew apart. Not being physically together but remaining connected in spirit always, they reunited on February 14, 2014 and expressed their love for each other before God on February 14, 2020.

 

James was a loving, kind, compassionate, and devoted husband, father, brother, cousin, and friend who loved the DALLAS COWBOYS and listening to music, and traveling. He loved spending time with his wife, family and friends. He had a generous spirit of always helping others in need.

 

James answered the master call from labor to reward September 11, 2024, awaiting his arrival are his parents, James and Ina Hill; and his big momma whom he loved so dearly, Pearl Golightly; mother-in-law Dorothy Kibby-Watson; aunts, Thelma Guthrie and Norma Golightly; and uncle, C. D. Golightly.

 

Left in the caring hands of God are the love of his life, his wife, Deborah Kib- by-Hill; son, James Hill, Jr.; grandchildren, Tiana Hill and Ashton Hill; brother, Dennis Hill (Sarah Denise); cousins, Glenda Lawrence, Paulette Terrell, Juanita Wickware, and Vickie Huckaby; special sister-in-love, Demover Kibby; brother- in-love, Ronald Kibby; great-great-niece, Carlee Davis; special niece and nephew, Ashanti and Zachary Hill; best friends, Harold Black, Leonard Harris, and Her- shal Johnson; and a host of other nieces, nephews, relatives and classmates, and friends.
