The book of Curtis Lee Carr’s earthly journey came to an end November 22, 2025. The pages shall lie at rest until that great getting-up morning.
Curtis’s life journey began August 12, 1977, in Fort Worth, Texas to the late Curl Lee Lewis and Shelley Kaye Carr. Later rearing Eric Camp and lastly Odis Darnell.
Curtis professed his faith in Christ at an early age at Jerusalem Temple of Deliverance C.O.G.I.C.
Curtis worked many years in the factory/warehouse industry, TCU College, First United Methodist Church, and The City of Fort Worth Parks & Recreation Department.
Curtis was a loyal Cowboys fan. He would jokingly say, “If I get cut, I will bleed blue.” He would say win or lose the Cowboys are my team. He loved to eat and hang out with his boyhood friends.
Curtis leaves to cherish his memory: daughter Kashala Carr; parents Odis & Shelley Darnell; siblings Derrick and LaToya Camp; blended siblings Tony Curry, Gregory Gentry, Douglass Darnell, Erica Powell, Tralanda Bolton, Yolanda Lillard & Patrick Lewis… and a host of family & friends.
