Brandel Corey Jones, affectionately known throughout the community as “Bucc,” was born on October 21, 1978, in Fort Worth, Texas, to the late Virginia Gail and Reginald P. Jones. From the very start, Bucc carried a spirit of excellence, a sharp wit, and a style that couldn’t be ignored.
He accepted Christ at an early age and held fast to his faith throughout his life. Bucc was a firm believer in hard work—and he made a name for himself with a pair of clippers and a gift for transforming not just heads, but hearts.
Known as one of the coldest barbers in the city, Bucc turned his skill into a legacy, founding his own shop—Krispy Fresh Cuts—where the fades were flawless, the line-ups sharp, and the conversation always real. Krispy Fresh Cuts wasn’t just a barbershop; it was a sanctuary, a community, and a place of brotherhood, laughter, and truth. Men came in for a cut but left with confidence.
Beyond the chair, Bucc was a devoted family man—his heart beat for those he loved. He was known for his supreme style, never stepping out without a fresh fit and clean shoes. He didn’t just set trends—he defined them.
On June 10, 2025, Bucc traded in his clippers for a crown as he peacefully departed this life, joining his beloved mother, Virginia Gail, in eternal rest.
He leaves to cherish his memory: his loving wife, Joyce Cobbs; his children Mychail Maldonado, Ana Jones, and Jayda Jones; his brother, Roderick Jones; and a host of cousins, clients, lifelong friends, and the extended family of Krispy Cuts—each of whom carries a piece of Bucc’s legacy with them.
Though the chair may be empty, the impact Bucc made will echo through every laugh shared in the shop, every clean fade in the mirror, and every life he touched.
Rest easy, Bucc. The cut was always Krispy.
