Her Life, Her Love, Her Legacy

Mrs. Belinda Green was born on June 29, 1953, in McNeil, Arkansas, to the loving parentage of Ira and Azzie Stewart.

Belinda was a woman of strength, determination, and many talents. She was never afraid of hard work and lived her life with a fiercely independent spirit. After leaving Arkansas for California at the age of eighteen, Belinda built a career as a paralegal, a profession she continued for many years after relocating to Texas. Never afraid to reinvent herself, in her early fifties she traded the legal office for the open road and became an over-the-road truck driver—another reflection of her determination and willingness to chart her own course.

While she worked hard, Belinda also knew how to enjoy the simple blessings of life. She loved raising her chickens and gathering fresh eggs, spending peaceful moments fishing, and especially working in her garden. Belinda could grow just about anything. Green beans, peas, cabbage, peppers, and tomatoes were just a few of the many things that could be found growing under her careful watch.

Her garden was a beautiful reflection of her life. Belinda understood that good things required patience, care, and love. She planted seeds, tended to them faithfully, and enjoyed watching them grow and produce a harvest.

But the greatest harvest of Belinda’s life was her family.

She deeply loved and treasured by her two children, Adrian Warren and Lorinda (DeJuan) Fountain. She also has 1 aunt, Melva Ellis (Los Angeles, CA) and three living sisters: Georgia Russ (Stockton, CA), Billie Rutherford (New Albany, MS) and Gracie (Charles) Griffin (Racine, WS) She has grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. Her family brought tremendous joy to her life, and the memories they created together will forever remain precious.

On September 1, 2026, Belinda transitioned from this earthly life. Although her earthly journey has ended, the seeds of love, strength, wisdom, and family that she planted throughout her lifetime will continue to grow for generations.

The garden she tended may one day fade, but the love she planted in the hearts of her family will bloom forever.
