With profound love and cherished memories, we honor the life of Mrs. Allison Monique La’Tasha Smith Wingham, who was born on April 7, 1974, in Charleston, South Carolina. Allison’s life was a beautiful reflection of devotion, strength, and unwavering love for her family.
Allison received her early education at Sam Houston Elementary and High School in Palestine, Texas. She later continued her academic journey at Sam Houston State University, where she proudly earned her Bachelor’s Degree, a testament to her determination and commitment to excellence.Family was the heart of Allison’s life. She deeply cherished time spent with her loved ones and found her greatest joy in being surrounded by those she held dear.
On March 20, 1997, Allison was united in marriage to the love of her life, Clifton Wingham. Their union was one of devotion and enduring love, and they remained faithfully married until her passing. A woman of dedication and service, Allison devoted over 20 years of employment with the Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ), where her work ethic, compassion, and professionalism were well respected.
Allison leaves to cherish her loving memory her devoted husband, Clifton E. Wingham; her beloved sons, Michael Jamal Wingham and Kameron Davon Wingham and daughter in law Eyanna Wingham; her father, Allen Smith; her mother, Florine Sally, affectionately known as “Spooky”; and her mother, Jeanette Smith. She is also lovingly remembered by her sisters, Shaund3a Miles and Shannon Sally; her mother- and father-in-law, Mary Wingham and Clifton Wingham Jr.; her brothers-in-law, Autry Wingham and John Miles Jr.; her sister-in-law, Shaunte Wingham; her two cherished godsons, Carmelo Bruton and Josiah Allen Bruton; along with a host of other relatives, friends, and loved ones. Allison’s life was one of grace, love, and quiet strength.
Though she has transitioned from this earthly life, her legacy of love and devotion will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
